Adenomyosis : So today I went for my... - Endometriosis UK
Adenomyosis
Hi I was diagnosed with this and endo a few weeks ago waiting on my follow up appointment for more details etc but when I spoke to my consultant after my surgery he said to stay on my depo injection and I know from previous appointment he said there is nothing they can do apart from a hysterectomy but that’s not an option for me just yet.
I would look online about it x
I was offered a coil he said when I would get my scan and OP I could get put in.and to keep taking menficacid when my period starts.
Yes you can try it I had it and it didn’t suit me but hope it suits you to help ☺️
Hi there, I was diagnosed with adenomyosis after severe pain flooding. At 43 my only option was hysterectomy. I was so low on ferritin for years needing IV Feritin several times a year. I tried the coil years ago, but it was too painful so had it removed. I hope you find a solution.
Good news story ......I’m 49 and have only been diagnosed with adenomyosis this year. I’ve had terrible periods, pain and fibroids for years which made me housebound for days each month. I was also aneamic - at my worst I had 4 blood transfusions and an iron transfusion in one hospital visit. Hb of 46 and that’s not a typo. But after an MRI I met the right team. I’m lucky, prostap and tibilone seems to work for me. I have had some headaches and one scary migraine where I thought the world had turned into a jelly but other than that ...... life is SO much better. I searched high and low for good options when at my lowest so wanted to share some hope. May you find respite soon. Big love x
If you have severe dysmenorrhea or irregular menstruation, including abdominal pain symptoms, if it affects your normal life, and if medication is ineffective, you can use surgery to remove it, surgery needs to be booked in advance, especially by a skilled doctor.
Adenomyosis is also a kind of endometriosis, but it is ectopic to the inner wall of the uterus, which makes the operation difficult.
In order to avoid surgical infection, some patients will combined with use Fuyan Pill for treatment, of course, I am not a doctor, you should not listen to me, you can go to communicate with your doctor, I hope to you recover soon.
